We ordered a dozen yellow roses to be delivered for my mom’s birthday. I placed the order on Sunday online (even though I believe they are closed in person on Sundays). Monday I received a text message with pictures showing us her exact bouquet, to make sure we were happy with everything. It was beautiful! I texted later to check on a delivery time and they responded right away. When delivered we didn’t make it to the door in time, but they called/texted/and knocked, so it was not because of them!! LOL. We got the flowers right away, though, so everything worked out perfectly. They contacted me and my mom to make sure we got them and they hadn’t been left out in the heat for too long. Such wonderful customer service and communication! And gorgeous flowers. We are very happy with our experience!!

Baylor Flowers is a must for making sure your Bear is loved and taken care of. Whether you call or order online, they are kind and so helpful. Each time the flowers were fresh and arranged beautifully and delivered on time. I recently ordered a bouquet of roses online and wasn't sure I clicked on yellow roses but added in the notes to add a Baylor touch for the occasion. They followed my notes and make it perfect. I’ve purchased flowers from here many times, and each time my partner and I have loved them. This year, however, was my first time purchasing on Valentine’s Day. While I understand this is likely their busiest day of the year, I made the decision to spend nearly $200 on a bear, truffles, and some seriously underwhelming flowers. The price isn’t what disappointed me, but rather the quality of the flowers themselves. You’d think a $100 Valentine’s Day collection would be extravagant compared to regular orders, but it was not. They were small, had lots of gaps and unimpressive roses, and withered quickly. I was really hoping for something much better.

Alexandria, we regret that you were disappointed in the flowers you ordered for your friend. We saw that you ordered our small Green & Gold designer's choice, priced at $65. The designer did take photos of it, however it seems that she forgot to send them to you, and for that, we apologize! In the photos, I can see that it had roses, tulips, spray roses, stock, hydrangea, and foliage in a clear jar-type vase and tied with a green & white striped bow. It may have looked smaller than what you expected, however it was designed in a more compact style, which is our typical aesthetic. We assure you it was filled to value. The price of $88 included the optional tip, delivery fee, and tax. Hopefully, the recipient enjoyed the flowers. If you would like to discuss anything further, please give us a call.

I ordered the Sunrise flowers in the lavish arrangement for my mom's 80th birthday. They sent a photo of the arrangement before they delivered them. They looked smaller than I expected so I asked to confirm they were the lavish size. They were actually the classic size. They lady said they would add more flowers to make them the correct size. The revised agreement was really amazing. My mom said they were "breathtaking". This was the second time I ordered from Baylor Flowers. They were very beautiful each time and delivered on time.

The only issue was that the driver forgot the truffles I ordered, and had to go back and get them. I would have liked everything delivered together. After being told by a different florist that they couldn’t guarantee flower colors for a prom bouquet and that they were “only doing roses,” I turned to Baylor Flowers. They advertised that a photo of the dress could be shared, so I emailed one. Since the dress was multicolored, I was a little nervous about the flowers matching, but they did and she loved it! I was hoping for a beautiful arrangement and truffles to be delivered to an old coworker hours away, I was blown away by the work online and after extensive searching decided on this shop. Thankfully the florist sent a photo of the arrangement before it was sent out-is was unhappy with the balance of the piece as it didn't look as well crafted as I'd expect. After sharing the feedback I was grateful to the team for giving the arrangement a floral arrangement profile that was visually more appealing. However once I got confirmation from my co-worker on the flowers and not truffles I reached out to the team to ask if it could be sent out or I could be refunded for that amount to not inconvenience them to make another trip out. I'm disappointed to not have heard back days later and see the full amount charged to my card without any follow up. Unfortunately I think I'd rather pick up locally and drive myself once my newborn is older to surprise anyone with that gift. I wish it had been a more convenient and thorough experience.

Baylor flowers did an amazing job again delivering flowers! My wife was sick on the day of a Valentine’s Day flower delivery, and I had previously asked that the flowers be sent to her work. I called to adjust the drop off location but the flowers had already been sent to her place of work. Baylor flowers went back to my wife’s place of work and pick up the flowers and delivered them to our home address so that she would have them for Valentine’s Day! Very disappointed
We chose the largest bouquet option offered online, imagining a beautiful lush bouquet to express love and admiration to our daughter in law for delivering her 3rd baby.
We live out of state, but read your glowing reviews. We felt confident ordering from Baylor Flowers, as alumni, thinking your name also would ensure excellence.
The flower bouquet were very small, from what we see in pictures, not much larger than the box of truffles we added to the order.
Maybe there was a mistake? And the small bouquet was delivered instead?
If so, please refund our money, or remake and resend a beautiful, abundant bouquet.
The few flowers we could see in the small bouquet looked pretty, so we have a little hope.

Compared to the local competitors, I received better customer service over the phone. Since I'm not in Texas, I wanted to test the waters on how well the local flower shop staff at the listed shops are.

That being said, the flower bouquet was a gift and the whole note says that. I made sure to leave the recipient's phone number since she leaves in the area.

For some reason, the recipient hasn't received any phone call reminding her that there's a bouquet waiting for her at their shop. I don't think it's too much to ask when you think of the the high pricing of their flowers. I thought customer service was part of the deal. Keep in mind they ask you to pay $12 for delivery.

Needless to say, I'm disappointed and I won't give full 5-star because of they didn't take the time to call / remind the flower recipient. My hope is that the recipient can actually have her bouquet today. The servicing could be better for sure.

This is the second time I’ve received/gifted flowers and felt totally duped. I paid extra, over $100 for a “lavish” bouquet of blush pink flower. 3 roses, some spray roses and filler. By far the most disappointing arrangement I’ve ever experienced. When you send someone flowers, my mom in this case, you want to feel like you got them a nice token of appreciation. The arrangement was cute but not even close to “lavish”. I was sent a picture from the florist and it looked nice but the size was TINY!!! I couldn’t judge the size until I saw them in person.

I was very underwhelmed with the arrangement. Turns out the lavish bouquet isn’t so lavish. We ordered flowers from another place for the same price and it was twice the size and much prettier with greater variety and brighter colors. Dissapointing. The man that answered the phone was nice but the “ designer” lavish bouquet was none of those things.

The flowers were beautiful but in a different color combination than I ordered. I ordered pink flowers with the navy striped ribbon but the flowers that were delivered were white with a red and white striped ribbon. The sticker I paid five dollars for did not have the Greek letters as shown on the web site. The arrangement was extremely expensive for what I got. I am a native Texan that moved away over 30 years ago. My family still resides in Texas, small town just south of Waco. As my parents 60th wedding anniversary was approaching I was at a loss as to what to do. They are past the age of needing things, so I decided to send flowers. I chose Baylor Florist as they had a wonderful selection. I went with the Designer's choice in Autumn. The whole process took me less than 5 minutes and they sent me a picture of the arrangement prior to it going out. This is the true definition of Customer Service. I bought the flower arrangement while I was in another country (Mexico) and I really liked the service they did, my husband was very surprised to receive such a nice surprise, he never imagined that I would make the purchase from here (Mexico). Everything was perfect!

We are sorry that you were disappointed in the size of the plants in the dish garden. Unfortunately, there is a nationwide plant shortage going on right now due to reduced production and interrupted growing cycles during the pandemic, as well as many greenhouses being affected by tropical storms. The result of all of this is that the plants that we can get are smaller than what we are all used to seeing. This is true across the board, at every nursery & greenhouse that we work with. If you want something with a larger presence, we suggest you order a medium or large dish garden, or a double plant basket as opposed to a small dish garden in the future.

I was disappointed with the arrangement that was sent yesterday. I understand that things are difficult right now but the arrangement looked nothing like the example that I ordered from other than the vase. The flowers were supposed to be colorful and what was delivered was light pastels with a striped ribbon.

The flowers my daughter received were not worth the $70 I spent. I have had good luck with previous orders but was very disappointed in this order. Wish I Could add the picture to my comments. Bouquet came with 2 red roses, 3 sunflowers, some baby’s breathe and some greenery for $60 plus $10 delivery fee to her dorm a few blocks away.

Sept 2019 - None of the flowers that were displayed in the marketed picture were actually in the bouquet. The policy says that if the flowers ordered are out then they would be substituted with flowers of equal or higher value, the old flowers received certainly did not reflect that policy. I paid $10 to upgrade my boutique from Modest to Classic which states that additional flowers will be added to enhance the bouquet and there weren’t any. In fact, there were less flowers in the delivered bouquet than in the “modest” marketing picture. The roses were deep dead red and not fresh and the sea holly wasn’t even properly bloomed and still green. Definitely a huge disappointment & waste of money considering I spent $65 for these to be delivered to my mom for her birthday.

We tried to reach out to you by phone but were unsuccessful. Unfortunately, given the amount of time that has elapsed since the delivery of your order, it's a little hard for us to recollect exactly how the arrangement was designed. As our website states, we do sometimes have to make substitutions due to availability or seasonality. It seems like your arrangement was made with red roses and yellow gerbera daisies, and a possible substitution for the sea holly due to availability.

We always substitute with a similar look, feel color scheme, and equal value. Every arrangement is looked over by management for quality assurance purposes; we would never let an arrangement leave our shop looking "dead." Photographing flowers with accurate color and angle is really difficult, and many times pictures of flowers really just do not do them justice.

We are so sorry that you were not pleased and would love for you to give us a call and so we can discuss a way to resolve this issue. Thank you for your feedback.

We did speak to the recipient a little after 5:00 on the day of and offered several choices: deliver to her home immediately, issue a full refund, or deliver the next morning. She was very understanding and said the next morning would be best. We upgraded the arrangement and delivered it at 9:30 AM with a box of truffles and a note of apology from us. We reached out to you today by phone and if you'd like to discuss this further please give us a call. We care about our customers and want to do our best to make them happy.

I ordered an upgraded arrangement, and I feel like hers was not upgraded from the photo on your website. In addition, the arrangement was picked up instead of delivered. You said you would supplement with balloons. You used one balloon. The delivery fee was $12. That seems a bit extreme. As a repeat customer, I would expect better service. This is why I chose you for this special day.

We are so sorry that you feel that you did not receive the upgraded "It's Spring!" you ordered. We spoke with the designer who made your arrangement to ensure you received your upgrade. She assured us that she made the Classic version. The Modest version includes 3 roses, 3 tulips, 1 mini green hydrangea, 1 stem spray stock, and 1 stem solidago in a 5" tall vase. The Classic version includes 5 roses, 5 tulips, 1 mini green hydrangea, 3 single stem stock, 2 solidago, and 1 stem premium spray roses in a 7.5" vase.
When we called to set up delivery for your order, the recipient requested to pick up the arrangement instead as they were in the area. We offered candy as well as a balloon (right now there is a helium shortage and we are unable to blow up multiple balloons - if any at all), and the recipient declined. We would be happy to refund you the entire $12 delivery fee. Please call us and we'll take care of that for you.
We did want to let you know the reason for the delivery fee. It is $12 to your recipient's area because it is more than 10 miles away from our location, and takes 15-20 minutes to arrive, which makes a 30-40 minute round trip. Our standard delivery fee is $10 within a 10-mile distance of our shop.
We would love to speak with you further if you would like. We want all of our customers to be satisfied, not only with our product but our customer service as well. We are so happy to have you as a repeat customer and look forward to serving you again in the future.

I’d start by saying that the succulent arrangement was pretty and the delivery was prompt. That’s where my positive review ends. The lasting quality was terrible. Following standard practices for care of these plants was not effective due to the way the arrangement was prepared. We had to re-pot these based off of reliable information that indicated the container could be causing issues for growth. We suspected that the container was causing the plants to die even despite our regular routine care. When we removed the plants to re-pot them we realized that the roots had been cut off and they had a wire stuck through them to hold them in place. After almost a month, no re-growth of the roots had occurred. $105 for the nice “large” version of this arrangement and all of the plants have died as a result of the method used to arrange them. Not happy at all.

We are so sorry that you were disappointed in the succulent arrangement we sent out for you. We have several succulent arrangements in our shop that have been designed in the same fashion and with the same type of container and they are growing and thriving. We have not heard of this happening with our arrangements before, but there are always many different factors that go into the lasting quality of flowers and plants. The wire is used to keep the succulent in place (mainly for transport) and we always take care to line our containers with pebbles under the soil so there is plenty of drainage.

Unfortunately, as is with the case with all living and perishable products, we never know what the plant or flower has been through before it comes to us. We take the best care we can of the product before it is sent to our recipients.

The succulents we use come to us “cut,” and when put into soil and moss they will naturally root themselves. This does take some time. Succulents, by nature, do not require much care. They do not like to be overly watered, and will begin to rot if too moist. They really prefer only light watering at the base of the plant and only when the soil is dry to the touch; their light preference is bright sunlight. Succulents also take quite a while to sprout new off-shoots, but will eventually do so. This is part of the reason that succulents are so popular and are a bit more expensive than one might think. They take quite a long time to grow!

I bought these for my wife for Administrative Professionals Day, so I asked that Baylor Flowers use a regular vase, instead of the Baylor Tumbler. There were dead flowers in the arrangement!!. I contacted the family I ordered the flowers for, and asked them to give me an honest opinion of the arrangement. Selman said he wasn't going to say anything, but there were dead flowers in the arrangement. He said the funeral director first brought it to his attention and he checked to see dead, droopy flowers. Needless to say, I was very embarrassed and disappointed. I apologized to the family, but this is just unacceptable. I will be contacting Baylor Florist by phone tomorrow . I called today, but they were closed. If they didn't have fresh flowers to make the arrangement, they should have declined the sale. By the way, one star is too much, but I had to select it to send the review.

Online ordering was easy...Web Site is impressive with pictures of arrangements for viewing... Delivery time was impressive as flowers were delivered the same morning that the order was placed. My Fiancée was thrilled and commented "the flowers are beautiful and smell so great."

I decided to send my daughter flowers as a little pick me up for finals. Baylor Flowers was the only flower shop in the Waco area that had a picture of decent looking sunflowers. Man oh man, did they deliver! My daughter sent me a picture of them after they were delivered and they were gorgeous! The sunflowers were perfect and the orange roses in the middle of the arrangement brought a smile to her face. Since I am in Houston and she will be spending a couple of more years at Baylor, I will definitely be ordering from Baylor Flowers again.
