About Us
Welcome to our floral sanctuary in historic Hopewell, VA, established in 1992 by Russ Vergara. A family-owned shop, we've had the privilege of learning from Russ for the past decade. When he retired in 2023, we realized how much this shop had become our home, and we decided to carry on his legacy. Now, as a mother-daughter duo, Mayra and Madeleine, we blend tradition with innovation in every arrangement. Our shop is a testament to our love for nature and deep commitment to the community. Mayra developed a passion for flowers early, helping her grandmother and mother with floral arrangements for church events. She studied flower design at INTECAP in 1999 and furthered her skills at an Ikebana school and seminars by Smitherson Oasis. After 13 years as a freelancer specializing in event setups, she joined Anything Grows in 2013, where her floral artistry thrived. Her heart lies in tropical designs, reflecting her roots and love for the craft.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
