Alma Rodriguez
Alma only silently dreamed of owning her own flower shop one day. On a sunny summer day something wonderful happened, her dream became a reality. Alma and her husband Saul purchased Alexandria’s Flowers at the Hopyard Village Shopping Center on the corner of Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue in Pleasanton in October 2019. “I am so happy and blessed to share my 30 years of experience and my love of flowers and designing with all of my family and friends who have been there for me throughout my floral career. Whether I am designing a funeral spray, a wedding arrangement, bridal bouquet or boutonniere, each is a personal creation that I cherish. I am so grateful for every single person I have created a floral arrangement for as they have been part of my journey and contributed to this opportunity in my life to serve others through my creations at my own shop. As I take ownership of Alexandria’s Flowers a staple of the community for over 24 years, I want to continue the high level of quality and excellent customer service that Beth and David along with the previous owner Stacy, have established for many years.” Alma, born and raised in the Bay Area literally grew up in the floral industry. She began her career at the age of 14 with Pink & White Florist in Oakland, CA. After several years of learning and acquiring floral design skills, Alma moved on to Fresh Floral Bouquet. With her expanded knowledge, Alma moved on to Apple Blossom Florist in Oakland, Ca. There she gained valuable experience on how to successfully operate a flower shop. In 2016 Alma began working at GiGi’s Florist in Castro Valley Ca. She continued to learn and expand her floral repertoire, while also learning more of the intricacies of the floral industry. From there Alma had worked at Enchanted Florist in San Ramon Ca. as their lead floral designer. I was underwhelmed when I saw the picture of the flowers after they arrived. For the price I paid I expected better quality and a more full arrangement. I understand that I am paying for the convenience however pedals missing and not the freshest flowers - I should have gone to Trader Joe’s and saved 80 bucks. You guys used to be much better. Oh well.

I am so incredibly disappointed. Last year you delivered a beautiful arrangement that my special friend could not stop talking about, she loved it so much. This year I wanted something just as special if not moreso, so I ordered this which was similar but higher priced and appeared to be larger. When delivered yesterday the only response I got from her was "received". I couldn't understand, then she sent me a photo. The arrangement is tiny, about one quarter the size of what I sent last year. It ruined a special anniversary that I intended to punctuate with a very special arrangement; instead she thinks I spent one quarter on her this year.

The 3 companion pieces we received for my father's funeral were just STUNNING! We ordered 2 standing sprays and a casket cover. The pieces were the Blue Rose set on their website. Pictures do not do this set justice. The colors and arrangement were breathtaking. On such a sad day, to see my Father surrounded by these beautiful flowers was so comforting. I needed a florist in Pleasanton that could make a standing flower arrangement for a celebration of life service. I chose Alexandria's because the website had a nice selection of flower arrangement for memorials, funerals, cremations, etc. I ordered the all white "Magnificent Spray" and had it delivered to the mortuary. I was able to order online, and check the status of my order. I was happy and relieved that they completed the delivery on time, and even happier when I arrived at the mortuary to see that the flowers looked so fresh and beautiful. I ordered the deluxe arrangement, and it doesn't look good. The plants don't look as nice as the one in the picture and the orchids look out of place. This is the second time the I have placed an order with Alexandria's flower, and they didn't look that good. The flower shop is around the corner from my house and wish I could support their business, but the quality is not that good anymore.

I ordered an arrangment on behalf of a board with specific request for a certain color for a lady whose grandmother had passed. Upon pick up, saw the flower colors weren't what I had asked for. The flower arranger/owner(?) responsible walked away stating she couldn't re do, that this color is better anyway for a woman (who died). Another store person felt badly and didn't know what to do as the owner said she would re do, from across the store.

Since the distance between us is great, the only way to deliver these flowers is by using this remote order mechanism. And it worked great. The beautiful arrangement of flowers were well received; and made her weekend. The delivery folks walked the arrangement into her apartment and placed them onto the table; a must for a handicapped recipient.

I’m super sad. We went to visit my MIL this weekend and her flowers were already dead. It was delivered on the 16th and today is the 20th. She stated they were already starting to die by Friday morning. She tried to call the store (twice) to let someone know on Saturday, not knowing it was closed, she did leave a message.
That is A LOT of money to only have flowers live for 1 day.

The flowers that were delivered did not look as good as the photos, plus there were 2 flowers missing. When I order (and pay for) 24 roses, the florist should deliver 24 roses. They delivered 22 roses, and it looked like the green foliage was sparse. I emailed the shop twice, but they did not get back to me. I normally don’t write negative reviews…if I have a complaint, I prefer to let the business know directly rather than writing bad review. In this case, I did let them know about my experience by emailing them twice, but they never responded to either email, so I am writing a review.

There was an incident where the delivery driver wasn't able to get a hold of the recipient so they called to notify me that the recipient was unreachable. I said to try again one more time. She said the flowers were lovely. However, it was NOT delivered by 11:45 as asked. She received it at 12:15 and it was only a fluke she was even home as she had cancelled her plans for another reason. I was also disappointed that you do not deliver on Saturdays or are even open. Therefore, although I try to use a local flower shop for her, I probably will not do so again. I made the request on Friday. You gave me an opportunity to cancel the order, but I was left with the impression that it would be the first on your delivery which doesn't even start until 11:30 a.m. Your deliveries should be out of the store starting at 9:00 a.m., thus your service did not meet my expectations.

I have been a customer for many years, I’d have to say initially I wasn’t as impressed with the quality of the pink roses in this arrangement as I have been With flowers delivered in the past. Delivery was timed well, but good that we were home as most of the water had spilled from the vase. They are lasting well thankfully. The only downside was the very strong chemical smell that came when we opened the box to give the corsage to our son’s date. Your creations are lovely. I gave specific instructions to leave flowers on porch if no answer. You left flowers but then you called the recipient ruining the surprise. I am extremely disappointed.

The original arrangement delivered was not very good, roses were not fresh, they were already completely open at the time of delivery, and tulips were also a bit questionable. Beth was so kind, gracious and understanding, and explained that she would share our concerns with the grower(s). In addition, she offered to replace the arrangement which we were very happy to accept. Today, the replacement arrangement was delivered and it is exceptional....excited to see the beautiful flowers blossom! Thank you so much Beth!

I am so glad I found Alexandria's Flowers.. I was going through couple other people in the past and always had some kind of issue.. and twice flowers were delayed 2 to 3 weeks.. and once they were a no show at all, said they delivered them.. I've used Alexandria's Flowers twice this year and and not a single issue with them..Plus both times I got done putting in the order online, I received a call from them right away Thanking me for the order.. This florist was fantastic to deal with. I needed to send a beautiful arrangement on short notice to a friend who is a flower expert. Delivered to the wrong address. When the delivery person was told the correct location - he just walked away and didn't correct his mistake. So, my senior citizen mother had to walk half an hour in her heels in 90+ degree weather on her birthday to go pick up her flowers from the wrong building. Very disappointed!!

Overall very good! I liked the options, and preserving online was fairly simple. The recipient did say that the handwritten note was a bit hard to read, so that is why I am giving four stars. I am quite pleased.

Ordered flowers to be delivered on 6/27 and instead, they delivered the day I ordered them 6/21. Since my mother's birthday isn't until 6/27, it was unfortunate not to surprise her on her birthday. She did say however, that the flowers were very pretty.

Really beautiful - my sister texted me a photo and it looked just like this. I find this arrangement very elegant and not too cute (no little balloons or butterflies). I ordered from overseas and couldn't put in my phone number (US websites never account for this problem...). Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
