Agape Florist is a family owned and operated shop serving Charlottesville and surrounding areas since 1995. We are here often long after our posted hours, feel free to call us or text to 5409677196 and 4344842793 to inquire if we can stay later, most often we will be here and i will always check my messages before i leave work. If you'd call our main number at 4349795441 to let us know you'd like to pick up flowers after 6:00, we will do our best to accommodate us. We are the florist that cares as much about your order as you do. We offer only the finest floral arrangements, gifts, plush, plants and gift basket, backed by a friendly and prompt staff. My mother opened this shop in october of 1995 and we ran it together for many years and 1/1/2021 it became mine solely. My husband and I ran it til he died. I am here a lot after hours posted and am happy to schedule pickups and consultations after our posted hours.

Over many years I’ve always trusted Agape. I realize that the address was out of Charlottesville range so I believe they used another florist called Coleman Brothers and the arrangement wasn’t as pictured. The basket was different as was the color mix and the arrangement wasn’t quite as abundant even though i ordered the larger size.
However the recipient was quite happy. She loved how they were in separate containers making transplanting easy.
The delivery was on time and I’m grateful to Agape for all the service they have provided over the years.

Order Marked as Delivered but Recipient Never Received It
I am very disappointed with this order (#6470942552). The flowers were marked as “delivered” on August 8, 2025, but the recipient, at the provided address, confirmed that nothing was received.
I am currently outside the United States, and I clearly specified that delivery should be made before 4:00 PM on the same day. This situation caused me embarrassment and I am concerned that this may be a scam.
Please provide proof of delivery (photo, recipient signature, or delivery confirmation). If you cannot prove delivery, I request a full refund.

Sir your order was delivered to the address you gave us to the receptionist at 2:38pm and we have gps proof of delivery. You are very incorrect sir! It was given to the front desk and that receptionist said she would put it on her desk as she was not at work yesterday but she came in and got it and even called us to ask who sent it since you did not put a name on the card message and I cannot give it to her without your permission. She called us twice and loved the arrangement. You could have emailed me rather than giving me a 1 star review that is fraudulent - as we did deliver

This was a truly lovely arrangement. The folks at Agape florist really care. They always do a beautiful job for holiday flowers I send my Dad. I have used them for years and you can really count on them. I also used them to send to an injured friend recently and she made it happen although my local florists to our friend were not that cooperative. She called me personally to make sure I was ok with how my friend's arrangement was going to be delivered. You won't go wrong if you choose Agape to send flowers and make someone's day a little brighter.

Terrible experience. Ordered flowers for Valentine’s Day and Agape did not deliver them until Feb 15th.
I tried to cancel and receive a refund when it was clear they wouldn’t be delivered on time and Agape did not answer my call or reach out.

Never arrived! No communication! I am mailed and called and never heard a word after ordering flowers for a sick relative. They were never delivered and no contact whatsoever. I have had to dispute this with my credit card company now. Very disappointing.

Ma’am I am really sorry the snow ice kept us closed and I had told my Web hoster to close the shop which did not happen. We could not get in to do refunds, orders, or anything for 10 days. I do apologize but I personally lost power and could not update things and then I had an illness. All credit cards for orders were refunded as soon as I returned to work. I ordered and upgraded the arrangement in the picture. When my friend sent me a picture of what she received, the arrangement looked nothing like what I purchased.
I was not called or even had a chance to discuss the availability of what was in your inventory.
I spent over 100 dollars on this arrangement and felt that I could have had a better arrangement by calling Wegmans and having Instacart deliver.

I was contacted by agape flowers before the delivery was made because I was told that you didn’t have the baby roses. I okayed a substitution and was told that I would be sent a picture before the delivery was made so I could approve it. I did not ever receive that picture so I’m not sure exactly what the item that was sent looks like. I was impressed that I was called and discussed my options instead of a substitution just being made. But I was disappointed that I did not ever see the finished product as I was told I would. Since it was an out of state gift, I likely will not get to see it.

Flowers were not delivered to the correct address. If it wasn’t for some nice people who texted my boyfriend to say that they got his flowers by mistake, he never would have received them. Very disappointing.

As we discussed I did refund the delivery fee, and I know you said that would be enough of a compensation but I truly am sorry for that driver mishandling your order so I refunded an additional 20% off the product you ordered. Again I am truly sorry. You can train people and make sure they are prepared to do the job, but if they are lazy with poor work ethic that you don’t know about, you kinda trust their word that they understand the job and what to do.

My friend loved the flowers but when I saw a picture I was disappointed. I thought the Premier Bouquet, being the top category, would have more flowers. Some of the roses looked like they needed pedal pruning. The delivery was great, right-on time.

The arrangement was sent to a grieving family, and it was a beautiful arrangement, which brought brightness to the family at a difficult time. Additionally, the customer service at the shop was excellent. Someone took the time to call, before delivery, to make sure someone would be home to accept the delivery. The outdoor temperatures were in the 90's that day and so, if the arrangement had been left outside, it would have been damaged. I will be using Agape for any further needs and will definitely recommend them to others.

Some flowers and adornment had to be switched which is fine, just sad that it didn’t have quite the same look. It was still beautifully done, it just turned out more bright pink, with dragonflies instead of butterflies, and they were funeral flowers for a woman who loved purple.

Delivery was a mess. I chose this company in part because of "same day delivery" offering, to send a surprise for a soecial occasion. Their delivery person went to the wrong place, then called the recipient and asked them to stay at work to receive the delivery. She waited for 30 minutes, and the delivery person called again to ask for 20 more minutes (could hear in the background a conversation about where to go)...then they called me to see if they could deliver it to our house instead! I explained that i wanted her to receive it at work in front of her colleagues, so they agreed to take it the next morning.
To make a long story short, they didn't deliver it until 1pm the next day - and when a expressed disappointment, i received a lengthy voicemail and email full of excuses and actually blaming my recipient for not staying at work longer!
Blaming everyone and everything else, including her customers, for their poor business operations - and then ending her email with "hope you have a blessed day". What a joke.

Worst experience ordering flowers ever. Always try to buy local. As a small business owner I support other small businesses. They Never delivered my bithday order. Never emailed. Do not answer their phones. And their phone messsge is rude beyond belief. Stay away from this company. Will now take it up with my credit card processor. Horrible.

I placed my order on 3/27 to be delivered on 4/3 as it was for an 86-year old's birthday. She was in tears on the phone with me as the flowers were beautiful. The spring arrangement was the pick me up she needed. I live in Pennsylvania, and this is the only flower shop that I use to take care of my needs. Sharon and staff are wonderful and when I am back home, I stop in to say hi.

These are my wife's favorite flowers and I ordered them for same day delivery. An hour later Agape called saying they didn't have them and they actually "didn't have anything blooming". They were able to send a different flower but it was not ideal. I ordered a product, it wasn't actually available, and by the time they called me it was too late to order from somewhere else. A friend of mine sent me a picture of the flowers and they did not look anything like the picture I ordered online. I did not order Orange roses in the pink display. Some of the rosebuds look like they were turning brown and drying out, just after a day of being there. They were delivered on this past Friday, and I got the picture from the funeral home Saturday. I would not recommend because (1) daughter notified of pending delivery at 5 pm and unable to reach by return call within 15 mins, therefore did not deliver on birthday despite my receiving email message that it was delivered that day (received a call earlier from unidentified caller but caller did not leave message identifying as florist needing to deliver) - (2) bouquet was supposed to have a variety of 5 different flowers but only had 3 - (3) size of bouquet was much smaller than pictured. When the arrangement was delivered this morning the photo my sister sent didn’t look anything like the picture of the Victorian Romance. Still my sister was thrilled. I reached out to the florist with my feedback on the disappointment of the change in the appearance of the selected arrangement. Agape responded immediately explaining their inability to get several of the components of my selected bouquet and offered to compensate me for my disappointment. The arrangement they sent was large and lovely and I did not want anything. It would have been nice to be told this in advance of the delivery but in the end, I totally got my $125 value. I still recommend them and will use them again.

Hi everyone, I would like you know that the picture you see is the exact arrangement I received. It was one of the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen. All I can say is job will done. I was really excited about this floral arrangement, because it looked amazing on the site. However, the results were not good. When I called to check on my order - the woman who answered was very short with me and I shrugged it off assuming they were busy. But then when my loved ones received the flowers, they were in bad shape - in fact several of the pieces were already turning brown. I’m sorry it didn’t work out, but paying 100+ dollars for what I got doesn’t sit well with me at all. Unfortunately I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

The flowers look similar but the arrangement does not look the same. I assume it was delivered in the vase since it was hand-delivered but there is not as much green or it is not as spaced out. It looks more like groups of flowers thrown together. The greens seem to be 4 inches taller than the flowers but not in an organized shapely way.

The arrangement was very nice and my fiance is still enjoying them 4 days later. My grievance is with the delivery. My fiance received a call from Agape before they even arrived, which spoiled the surprise. I understand you don't want flowers to be left out, but I specifcally said in my order that this would not be a problem. If your order is a surprise, I recommend putting your own phone number down for the recipient to avoid spoilers.
One other small thing I didn't care for is the font on the personalized card. It was pretty boring. If I had the choice I would have used something italicized. It might have been nice to have the option.

you were very accommodating given the weather conditions (changing the original on-line request). I missed seeing a few "berry like" additions. These apparently are not good for cats which will eat them and had to relocate the assortment. Maybe a warning... Eh?

Agape uses only the freshest flowers, some that will open after the bouquet arrives, which is fabulous1 I would have said 5 stars, as I have in the past, but the bouquet seemed to contain many "grocery store" type flowers (maybe because it is January?) and in the past, I have gotten more beautiful and "rare" flowers. Unfortunately, I cannot say that my experience was positive. I purchased two bouquets, both with the "premium" upgrade, for around $100 each. Each bouquet was certainly NOT worth the price. Several of the blossoms were already discolored or wilting, while the sunflowers had several petals missing.
Granted, it was the day before Mother's Day, and I'm sure the shop was incredibly busy. In addition, I don't know if the supply chain on fresh flowers has been influenced by the COVID lockdowns; perhaps that is why the flowers were not at their peak. Regardless, however, I paid over $200 for two underwhelming bouquets. If the shop is too rushed or unable to have "premium" flowers due to the epidemic, than the shop should remove the "premium" upgrade price. Rather disappointed.

I loved my daughter’s bouquet! I ordered her flowers during this COVID-19 crisis. She got into a wonderful college, and the day she accepted their invitation, I ordered the flowers. The driver called as he neared my house, and was courteous and kind. He asked whether he should ring the doorbell, or just leave them on the doorstep? I gave him instructions, and he followed them to a tee. My girl was so delighted by the flowers…they are just gorgeous! You all do a great job normally, but in this strange and unsettling time, you went above and beyond. Thank you!!

The flowers were pretty but not quite what I expected in quality since I got the premium option. Some of the flowers were bruised. It also came without much water but they warned me of this ahead of time. I forgot to pass the warning on to my wife and they wilted pretty fast. The delivery person was very nice and everything came on time. I would give this place another try but I won’t order the premium option next time.

Disappointing bouquet. Obtained prompt refund. I ordered a $400 bouquet to be delivered on my wife’s 30th birthday. The florist delivered a much smaller, shorter arrangement of different design which looked more like a $100 bouquet. When I complained by email they were very defensive and offended, but did agree to remove the bouquet and refund the money. The conclusion however is that we did not have flowers as expected for the occasion. There is a big disconnect between this florist’s impression of value for money and the rest of the world.

The flowers were the wrong color and size. It did not come in a basket as pictured. It was much smaller than shown and for the price given. It was only one single balloon as appose to an arrangement or multiple as expected. Overall, a disappointment for the price paid.

Today I placed my fourth order in a two month period with Agape Florist. Each order has been delivered on time, even though I ordered them online the night before the day that I was requesting them to be delivered. All four orders were for flowers, a different type each time. The flowers are for my girlfriend who works in the same building as I do, so I get to see them once they are delivered and they always are as beautiful as the picture on their website.

Unfortunately, Agape Florist did not have the bouquet that I originally ordered. However, they called and informed me the day of the delivery and delivered a bouquet just as beautiful as the one that I originally ordered. The customer service was excellent. However, they may need to add delivery times to the website. Overall, I had a great experience with Agape Florist and will use and recommend them in the future.
