Absolutely Flowers was born in November 2004 as a new and exciting floral boutique in Hutchinson, KS. Mitzi Alexander AIFD and Karen Maness have over 70 years combined experience in the floral industry. Flowers, creativity and service are our passion. We are committed to offering the freshest and most creative floral arrangements. We have an amazing variety of wonderful candles, delicious homemade fudge, and an incredible selection of permanent florals. Our entire staff is dedicated to offering impeccable customer service and share our commitment to quality. We have been featured in Floral Management Magazine, we were runner-up for 2008 “Retail Florist of the Year”, and have won 3 separate awards for our wedding work in Florist Review Magazine. Locally we have been voted Hutchinson's favorite florist for over 10 years running.

Mitzi Alexander, Karen Maness
Karen Maness and Mitzi Alexander had a vision for a flowers shop where style, creativity, and beautiful flowers would be the focus. That vision became Absolutely Flowers. Both Karen and Mitzi had extensive experience at other florists but both felt there was a place in their market for something fresh, different, and border-line edgy. A place where the focus was flowers...beautiful flowers...Absolutely Flowers! Their business partnership works because they are also best friends. They genuinely care about each other and their families and know Absolutely Flowers binds their lives together. A visit to Absolutely Flowers will find Karen and Mitzi in the heart of the shop, greeting each customer as they enter. Customer interaction enables them, along with their staff, to know what the customer is seeking and how to offer help to find the perfect floral creation or gift. Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (620) 728-0266, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?
We’d be happy to take care of that for you! Please contact us at (620) 728-0266 and we’ll cancel your subscription right away.

The arrangement is beautiful! I received a photo of the arrangement before it was delivered, and the friend we sent them to also said they are beautiful. They were delivered just as I requested. I made a mistake when I ordered, and didn't realize that I had a second arrangement in my cart before I paid. I e-mailed Absolutely Flowers when I realized what had happened and I had a reply indicating the charge for the arrangement I added by mistake was refunded. I read the reviews of many Hutchinson florists, and Absolutely Flowers was always at the top of the reviews. I called my cousin in Hutch and asked which florist I should order from and she immediately told me Absolutely Flowers. I'm happy I chose them. Several times in the past when I ordered flowers online I ended up very disappointed because the quality and arrangement theme were poor, and overpriced for what was delivered. Great job, Absolutely Flowers, for exceeding my expectations!

I ordered flowers for a friend who's husband died. I ordered them in the evening, online, from South Carolina. They delivered them the NEXT day AND sent me a photo so I could see them. Great service! I lived in Hutchinson when they first opened and I remember how lovely and original their arrangements were -- so since I moved in 2013, my go-to is ALWAYS Absolutely Flowers when I need to order something in the town of Hutchinson. Getting a Photo of the actual arrangment should be something ALL FLORISTS do!

Definitely not anything like what the picture showed and I even paid for deluxe. There wasn't any purple flowers/foliage in it, the greenery is completely different and the roses look half wilted already

I sent in an urgent online order before the doors even opened for a 10AM funeral and it was delivered at 9:30AM. I did leave a tip in hopes it would get there in time. Also -- it was bright and colorful which I would not have predicted since white's were shown as funeral flowers. The briliant yellow, red and whatever colors tunred out to be perfect for my friend who loved colrs and was a very positive and energetic person. Thank you so much.

I do not typically write reviews but this place did such an exceptional job that it would be tragic not to write one. I ordered flowers online from this place, not knowing anything about the local florists (I have never even been to Kansas). This store did an amazing job - they sent me pictures of the arrangement they sent, which was an unexpected surprise, and the arrangement was even more beautiful than the original photo of the arrangement I had chosen. I paid $100 plus delivery and tax for florist‘s choice floral bouquet for a funeral. I live several hours away from Hutch and couldn’t come to the funeral. The arrangement ordered is represented by a picture on the website of beautiful multicolor flowers in an arrangement. There are no choices for the buyer. The sucker ordering sees only a picture of beautiful flowers and an unspoken promise to replicate the picture in some way depending on the price paid. BUT the arrangement delivered for the funeral was mainly greenery. Tall, rangy, ugly honey comb greenery with all sorts of other types of green fillers making up the majority of this “floral arrangement”. One star gazer lily was limp and hung down in death. Considering there were only a few flowers in the entire arrangement, it would’ve been nice to have those flowers present fresh and pretty. Had I wanted a green plant I would’ve ordered a nice green plant. What I wanted was a colorful bouquet similar to the picture on the website with the $100 florist choice bouquet. What I received was far from it. Shame on this business. Buyer beware. Order online someplace else.

I really lucked out finding this florist on the internet. I had planned to call them, but the website made it so easy to order, I decided to do everything on line. It was a same day delivery (shocking they actually made that work) and I received updates along the way. My favorite part was receiving s picture of what was to be delivered! The confirmation of the order that included all the details was great.I liked that you emailed a photo of the arrangement. What I didn't like was that you added those very tall twisted branches and tall eucalyptus to the arrangement that wasn't in the original website picture, it took away the charm. I didn't care for that at all. If I could, I would have asked you to take all that out. The card I chose was a get well card because the recipient is sick so I didn't like that she had too deal with all those tall add-ons to the bouquet.

Even though this is a very nice arrangement and my grandma was happy to be remembered on Mother's Day, the substitutions were very disappointing. Star gazer lilies and lilacs were the reason I chose this "Stunning Garden" arrangement. Neither of those flowers made it into the final product and I understand the substitution policy but was very disappointed in this arrangement and this is the third arrangement over the past few months that has been substituted poorly. I am sad but it is was it is at this point.

After reading all the great reviews I decided to place my order with Absolutely Flowers. Sadly to say I was greatly disappointed with the sparse arrangement that was delivered. I chose the Snappy Sunflowers arrangement. The arrangement that was delivered looked like someone stuck a mixed bouquet in vase with half the flowers missing and no arrangement at all. Absolutely Flowers made the plant for a funeral look beautiful! Besides adding to the plant, there were two things that really set Absolutely Flowers apart from others. 1. I appreciated seeing the "Bloomsnap" that sent a picture of what was being delivered! It's nice to see what was actually purchased. 2. There weren't hidden fees at the end. I looked at other companies and the plant was reasonable, but then there was a delivery charge and service fee that ended up adding $20. This is not the case with Absolutely Flowers. Great experience and highly recommend!

these people are amazing and went above and beyond. i ordered this at 8am this morning and needed it delivered by noon. i sent them to hutch hospital to deliver it as a surprise for my mothers birthday. i was not aware my mothers was at a conference in a completely different facility and the delivery lady tracked her down and got it to her. I'm sure in total it took her over an hour to find her and deliver it. to top it off it was the most beautiful arrangement. i would highly recommend them and will use them again!

Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
