First-time customer, and I will definitely be returning!
I placed an online order first thing in the morning, in hopes of a same day delivery. Got a phone call a few minutes later and was expecting to be told I was outside the window and the delivery couldn't be made. Much to my surprise, the owner was calling to let me know he wasn't happy with the look of one of the types of flowers (in a delivery he received) that was supposed to be used in the arrangement and would be it OK if he substituted. He noticed I used the name of the arrangement, "ray of sunshine" on the card as well and wanted to make sure it was special for the person receiving it.
I loved receiving a text from Above the Stem with the final look and the fact that they could get it to my friend the same day. Excellent customer service and I will call them the next time I need flowers!

I appreciate the effort following the picture on line, however I ordered it based off of the colors which were my clients favorite and they weren’t used. There were very little roses, substituted to carnations, and no tentacles streaming down which is what made the arrangement so appealing.
I upgraded to a deluxe and based on the flower count plus size of the arrangement, which is slightly smaller than the standard picture on your website, didn’t appear to happen. Perhaps it was missed on the order? If you can verify, I’d appreciate it.
A suggestion regarding the color switch:
Personally, I would have preferred a call to discuss options of flower substitutions if there was an issue with both availability of color and flowers.

The flowers I ordered didn’t look anything like what I ordered. I have used above the stem several times, but most likely won’t again. Too expensive for the final product. I really was disappointed this time. My mom is 92 so wanted something nice for Mother’s Day. Hopefully I can send flowers next year, but it will be from somewhere else.

I have used this florist on a few occasions due to their beautiful and unique arrangements, and I must say I am very disappointed this time around. The photo sent to me by the florist and the arrangement that was delivered did not look the same (I wish I could post the comparisons) It did not look like an $80 arrangement, and I’m embarrassed on what was delivered. The flowers used were low quality and inexpensive flowers with mostly filler. Honestly I could have went to Trader Joe’s and would have more beautiful quality flowers for less than half the price of what was paid not including the local delivery fee. Very disappointed, needless to say I will have to find a new florist :(

I’ll call on Monday, but this was not good. The roses looked old and had brown edges, several pieces of greenery were brown and dead. My mother said that it looked like it had set in the truck all day and maybe even was knocked over at some point. Also the bouquet was left under another plant on their patio so they didn’t even see it there till later in the day. We did get some pictures but this was completely unacceptable.

Ordered these for a client's grand opening celebration, they were delivered earlier than expected but where they fell short was in the actual arrangement. I paid for the PREMIUM arrangement, and the arrangement that was delivered just looked pretty bare, almost like it was sent as the base arrangement. I know there are a shortage on some flowers right now, but there really weren't any premium flowers used (no proteas... and carnations instead of roses) and there could have been greenery to fill it in more. Just a bit disappointed to see once it was delivered. I even added a generous tip at checkout online.

MK was excellent to work with - he had to make a substitution from what i ordered but he notified me immediately of the change. I've always had a good experience when ordering flowers from Above the Stem. This time, however, wasn't great. I paid for the next step up from the standard, which I assume is what is pictured and there were only 2 roses and 2 lilies with some carnations and a bunch of added greenery. 25% of the fill flowers and greenery were wilted. I expected a little more and better quality for the price.

The arrangement was very pretty, however the card that was suppose to be included was not included in the envelope. Unfortunately, the recipient didn't know who the flowers where from for a while. I had to call the florist 2x about the missing card. When it was found, someone from your shop delivered the card, which I appreciate. However at that point flowers lost the meaning of why they were sent, which was very unfortunate for myself and the recipient.

The recipient of our sympathy arrangement sent me a photo of the $100 arrangement I paid for.... I am VERY disappointed!! I realize substitutes need to be occasionally made, but this was not even close to the quality I expected for the money I spent, and frankly, not close to the original example either! There was MAYBE $5 worth of greenery stuck in a vase, with a couple sad, tiny "flowers" stuck in. This arrangement was to convey our love and sympathy, but instead looked cheap and apathetic.

The bouquet that my recipient received was NOT up to Expectations. The bouquet That was imaged on the website Was full of springs and embellishments including a ribbon. What was received was a fraction of that. I even went so far as to order the deluxe to make sure that the bouquet was big and full. This is not what happened. The bouquet looked even less of what the “standard” was on rhe website. I called to rectify the situation and the owner said they couldn’t find the flower that was in the image, but made no attempt to replace with a different flower of the same color until I called and complained. They had the delivery man redeliver five or six more flowers for the recipient to add to the bouquet herself!

I can't believe how difficult it was to find a florist that does delivery of sophisticated bouquets in the Inland Empire, but now that I've found them, I'll never have to be embarrassed by another polyester ribbon around my mother-in-law's flowers again! My cousin took a picture of the arrangement for her mother, Arlene Naholoholo (who is my aunt). I am a bit disappointed in the final result. It does not look exactly like the pic which I understand might happen. However, there were some obvious pieces like the palm leaf that was sticking out and did not fit with the overall Zen artistry shape of the arrangement. My choice at this point will be not to recommend your shop to other relatives that may inquire about sending my aunt flowers. We may try other shops.

I've written a review before, but I honestly couldn't say enough. I don't live very close to my mom, and am unable to go visit as often as I'd like. I've sent three total bouquets to her with Above the Stem: birthday, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day.

The first time a bouquet was delivered, she sent me 13 photos of the bouquet over the next few days. The second was the same. And this last one for Mother's Day, I got a custom bouquet (let the designer do whatever she wanted). My mom is sending...so many photos to me, and now is sending photos to my aunts and extended family.
We adore the floral designs from Above the Stem. Prerna and MK have gone above and beyond for me. They've called me about flower quality; this one bouquet I picked before had some featured flowers that weren't optimal that week (it'd been weirdly rainy and dreary), so they discussed alternatives with me. Usually, other places either don't alert you with replacements or they just send the flowers regardless of quality...
Look, I've tried local florists and many online retailers for flowers. There are a lot of fine places out there; some bad, some good. But Above the Stem has wowed us. They create special bouquets that are true gifts and memories for my mom. You may always remember when your loved one gave you flowers, but my mom remembers and is happy for weeks - months, actually. Above the Stem created and gave us the best. All I know is that their creations have brought my mom so much happiness that has shined brighter and lasts so much longer than a moment.
Bottom line: I really trust Above the Stem. Extraordinary designs? Like you've never seen. Quality? Impeccable. Consistency? We're 3 for 3 on perfection. If I want to brighten up my mom's month, I know that Above the Stem will do that. I only await the excitement of how different and beautiful the next one will look...and the mass amount of photos my mom is going to send me of her flowers. I have ordered multiple times from Above the Stem. This order looked nothing like the photo sent to me after my order. My relatives sent me photos of the actual delivery. There was a big cabbage in the center rather than two white lilies? I have no idea why those fake photos are sent? It is very misleading. I was really happy to find a good florist in Redlands until this.

I ordered last minute/day-of, online for my mom's birthday. I had them delivered to her office--they were delivered well within office hours! She LOVED them. She said that the office production levels were so low, because they couldn't stop admiring the flowers. I was hesitant and worried about how the flowers would result and appear in real life, but Above The Stem exceeded my expectations. My mom was so happy with the flowers AND with the delivery experience, as the delivery man was apparently wearing a huge smile and brought the most beautiful flowers to her desk.

You didn't have the flowers or greenery actually used in the picture. The flowers put in place were roses, the wrong choice.

Of course my sister loved receiving the flowers - but when she sent the picture I was disappointed. Obviously the picture on the website is the expensive (most full) version. I was expecting a tight bouquet / vase of flowers, but her's looked like a beginner/the intern made it. Flower heads were all levels, stems sticking out and a very random YELLOW gerber daisy right on top.

I had an amazing experience with Above the Stem. I live in Seattle and needed to send a sympathy arrangement to family in San Bernardino. After much searching for a florist who looked like they had creative and contemporary designs I found Above the Stem. I had two quick calls and was impressed by their friendliness and customer service. I ended up ordering a custom arrangement around 11:30a and by 5p that day it had been delivered. An added bonus was I received a BloomSnap - a picture of the arrangement. What a great extra perk! You never know what really shows up when you order virtually. I originally ordered online the Deluxe version of the arrangement “Your Light Shines,” which wasn’t exactly what was delivered to my designated recipient. I, however, do give the Above the Stem designer credit for honoring my request of no lily substitutions due to the recipient’s allergies and for following the color scheme and using some flowers as pictured online of the aforementioned arrangement. After I contacted via email the Above the Stem Floral Studio about my disappointment, the store owner/manager Prerna personally phoned me and assured me that a new floral arrangement would be made and delivered in a timely manner. The beautiful, plentiful replacement flowers formed a much nicer, fuller arrangement. My grieving friend and I are pleased with the new arrangement’s lovely combination of colorful flowers and greenery and all-around orientation. I appreciate Prerna, MK, and the staff at Above the Stem who promptly addressed my requests and took the time to communicate with me during the replacement process. The Above the Stem Floral Studio stands by its work and aims to please its customers for which I am grateful.
