Dalel Snider
She didn’t set out to be a florist. Dalel Snider was really looking for a way to support her two teenage sons and her new husband who was just diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Despite having a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Communications, Snider was rejected by several corporations who didn’t want to take on an employee with so many family burdens. Knowing she could do anything she set her mind to, she set out to buy a business. Dalel stumbled upon Glendora Florist, nestled in the picturesque downtown of Glendora, a suburb of Los Angeles. Taking a leap of faith, Dalel purchased the locally-renowned florist and opened her doors on Valentine’s Day of 2011. With no previous experience in the floral industry, this was an act of audacity and courage, but one typical of a woman willing to take risks and push hard for her dreams. What makes Snider unique is her out-of-the-box thinking. “I wanted a flower shop that wasn’t a flower shop,” she says quizzically. “I love Louis Vuitton and wanted that same luxury experience and products for my customers.” “My floral arrangements don’t look like the every day. I add kale, cabbage, and seed pods to my arrangements. I love texture and unusual combinations. It’s art more than flower arranging,” says Snider. Channeling her deep love of all things Louis Vuitton, Dalel transformed her lovely, small town flower shop into a luxury couture flower brand that is taking Beverly Hills and all of Southern California by storm. Her newly-created Los Angeles Floral Couture is now the premiere luxury concierge flower service in Southern California, bringing masterful designs to brides and connoisseurs. Now that her business has tripled in size, Snider has turned her attention to her other passion - creating jobs, contributing to the community, and lifting people up. Dalel is a two-time winner of the Women of Excellence award by California Congresswoman Judy Chu, and has been honored by local Assemblyman Roger Hernandez for her work and contributions for the community. A fearless entrepreneur, Snider again looks out of the box and has joined forces with Stephanie Simpson, owner of Simpson Portraits and together have created an explosive, dynamic business concept where their exclusive clientele can capture their feelings through fine art portraiture and flowers. Their work can be seen in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 issues of Ceremony Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, The New York Times, The Knot, Wedding Wire, and The Avenue. I was rather surprised that I selected what appeared to be a red and white spray and there were more pink flowers- I could have selected the pink spray arrangement. I also upgraded from $200 to $400 Deluxe, the arrangement was not a Deluxe.
I took the time to order locally so that the arrangement would be better. The pink flowers were a little brown at the tips.

Yes, not only did i like the result of the beautiful arrangement, but the receiver was in "awe" when she contacted me and expressed how deeply she really appreciated my sincere thoughts. Said i must have spent a "fortune" for such an arrangement with a variety of flowers and greens! This one was a dissapointment. The roses were not close and closely stuffed looking like the picture at all they were speard out with lots of space inbetween and extra greeery filler put in to fill the gaps. Also the colors were way off and did not match well like the picture with all pastels. Mine had some very bright deep warm reds mixed with cool lavendar and cool light pink and a two tone bright orangy and some white etc it barely resemebled picture. Of the 2 dozen roses about half were old and browning on the edges slightly. This was a flop. I've been a long time customers and while I love ordering your bouqettes for my wife this is the third time not consecutively but over time this has happened and I'm finding myself thinking now when I order from you I hope they look good this time. My wife liked them and I set them out at a large party we had for her but some guests remarked sadly.

The flowers were delivered in a timely fashion but were wilted only 6 hours later. Also the arrangement doesn’t look like the pictures

I needed a delivery same day for a viewing at a local chapel at the cemetery. I couldn't find a florist who would deliver same day and whose deliver fees were going to be outrageous. I put the address of the florist in Google and this florist popped up. I browsed the website, took a chance hoping that they would deliver before the viewing. When I arrived my friends were so astounded at the arrangement. It was small compared to the other arrangements but received many compliments on the choice I made. I will definitely be keeping this florist in mind for the future.

The arrangement I purchased was beautiful as usual, however there were 3 associates present. 2 were working and one was there not sure what she was doing. Two of them said hello and the gentleman was very nice, however I stood there for 5-6 minutes before anyone asked if I needed any assistance. One finally did ask.

Where to start. I ordered two bunches over the phone. They took my payment sent me a receipt. All good. A few hours later they call saying I owe more because they gave me the old price. It was irritating, never experienced this ever in my life but I went ahead and paid the extra in person with cash since I work a block away. They said great well email you a receipt. Didn’t expect that to be true and I was right. No proof I paid the extra money. My experience thus far left me feeling uneasy. Which was a bummer because I’ve heard amazing things about this place. Sure enough the day of graduation I arrive to pick up my two bunches of anemones and they didn’t have my full order. They refunded me half of my original payment (minus the extra I paid in cash that I now have no proof of). I get home 5 minutes later to put them in water BUT I learn that my half order and most of the flowers were either dead, wilted, or dying. Only two were alive and well. How could a flower shop even consider giving me the flowers they did? Shameful. I would never. I plan many events and am involved in several organizations around town and I really wanted this shop to be my go to shop but not after this. Incredibly disappointing experience. Do not recommend.

Unfortunately I did not like the Lei I picked up. It is nothing like pictured. I went back inside to make sure this was a double lei and was told yes it was but the Lei is really small. The flowers on it are small too. Nothing like in this picture or any of the other colored ones. Some of the flowers were also wilted and I asked if I could have it exchanged. The lady there did exchange it but insisted that I got what I ordered. I also noticed that the price is now cheaper than what I paid. I didn’t want to make it a big deal so I just left it as is. But I don’t think I will be patronizing this business again. The two stars is for at least exchanging the Lei.

So i understand the flowers changing throughout the season & it won’t look exactly as the one pictured but I will say the choices weren’t my favorite .. there was too much pink & different shades of it that it washed the entire bouquet. I went in the shop and asked for tall arrangements with the curly sticks in them. There were no sticks in any of these arrangements. Also, the colors were not as ordered. For $125 each they were disappointing. Also, they were left outside in the heat at the mortuary. Six years ago, I ordered the same thing and they were beautiful. It’s too bad. These weren’t the same.

I think the customer service is lacking in a lot of different ways. I've contacted them on several occasions and it seems like there's always an excuse of not knowing what they have in stock or that they're sold out of florals on specific days. They were supposed to text me a photo of the arrangement being sent, which I never received. Through text they were going to charge me extra for delivery even though online it wasn't that price. I've worked in several floral shops and this one needs improvement. Do the flowers look great? I wouldn't know since I didn't get the update.

I’ve ordered from Glendora Florist before, and have had beautiful arrangements sent. This one just didn’t live up to my expectations. Most of the elements were there, the blooms themselves were lovely, and even though some of the flowers were different (I understand that not all flowers are available at all times), the presentation was just kind of sloppy. It didn’t look like it was worth what I paid for it, so that was disappointing. Maybe this was just a fluke, or someone in training.

Disappointed. Some of the flowers in the arrangement were dead. I let them know and instead of immediately offering a solution and apology they were combative and argued that the flowers delivered were not dead. Our family has used Glendora florist many times and never had this issue, so we are disappointed by how we were treated.

My co-workers and I ordered an arrangement for our boss's birthday. The arrangement was not as pictured. We ordered the Deluxe, thinking it would be more purple/lavender flowers, but instead received the arrangement with added yellow flowers. There was no communication from the florist asking if it was ok to add anything different from what's pictured. Additionally, I did not receive a confirmation or any form of communication prior to or on the date of delivery. I had to call the florist, which was around 4 pm on the date of delivery, to inquire about the status. The woman I spoke with said it was out for delivery and should arrive between 5 pm-7 pm (which is outside business hours), and right after we hung up the phone, that's when I received the email confirmation that they received my order and it was "out for delivery."

The arrangement was close to the picture, it was lovely. However, I was disappointed in the pot that was chosen. It was a basic terracotta clay pot that cheapened the arrangement. One suggestion if you’re going to use those pots; it would’ve looked much nicer if you would’ve even spray painted it gold or something. For the price, the container should’ve been nicer.

I received an email reminder from Glendora florist that Grandparents Day was coming up! I no longer live in the area, but I was headed out there to visit my parents. I loved the option to order online ahead of time and then to choose the time frame to pick them up. When I arrived, the man who greeted me was so friendly. Even though he was in the middle of working on another arrangement, he gladly helped me. My flowers were already waiting for me in a vase nearby. The arrangement exceeded my expectations; it was gorgeous and the price was just right! My daughter was so proud to carry those flowers to her grandparents. My business orders flowers from Glendora Florist all the time and they never disappoint. It doesn't matter if I need a small birthday bouquet or an extravagant arrangement for an event. It also doesn't matter how bad my planning is, they always get my flowers done and delivered on time. I especially love that I'm not the most creative guy so whenever I tell them what I want they seem to be able to get inside my brain and create an arrangement that is exactly what I want. I would not hesitate to call them for whatever event you need, weddings, funerals, or anniversaries. They can handle it all and will amaze you with whatever it is.

Staff is very friendly & professional. The flower arrangement Moscow Mule I ordered as a gift, was nothing like what I saw on the photo I picked out.
What was delivered was in a small glass vase, half the size of what appears on the sales photo. The flowers were half the amount as shown in the sales photo.
The flower arrangement was still pretty but was the $50.00 item & not the $115.00 item I paid for.

The floral arrangement I ordered for my mom looks nothing like the photo. There are only roses and a few of the long stemmed flowers on the sides. There’s a lack of color as most of the flowers are white. Some of the flowers were also damaged. My mom saw the delivery driver on our porch rearranging the flowers just before she brought them inside the house, so maybe the arrangement fell and that’s why we saw loose petals. I paid extra for the deluxe bouquet so that I would get the bouquet as pictured. What a disappointment. This is the first and last time I will ever buy from Glendora Florist.

My husband picked up lei …. Said salesperson and crew were very friendly and appreciative of business. Lei ready on time as per order. A bit pricey as expected… flower looked fine. Only negative is wish lei was packaged in a plastic container and not just plastic wrap(had to take on plane).

This Mother's Day, I really wish I would have picked up the order in person instead of having it delivered so I at least could have requested additions to the arrangement and have it presented in a vase not made of cheap plastic (which we were surprised is even an acceptable option at the price point). I opted for the premium selection and tipped with the assumption I'd be proud of what was delivered. I was almost embarrassed to see what I gifted my mother when I arrived to celebrate. It was pretty, but looked like a slimmed down version of the advertised picture when it should have been more robust and deserving of the premium selection. During this economic nightmare, proven especially challenging to small businesses, we've tried to concentrate our commerce towards our long-time local establishments. Unfortunately, we were left wondering if Glendora Florist is under new ownership and if we should find a new florist. I hope to trust Glendora Florist in the future, but this was a big disappointment and I'm hoping it was just an aberration.

A good friend of mine just lost her brother to COVID. She had been texting me that her brother was in the hospital in another state and his condition was worsening. Well the flowers are always lovely but the delivery had issue this time. She did not receive notification or a phone call and the flowers sat on her doorstep apparently until after dark when some friends came by to deliver her cupcakes.

It is always difficult when you want to purchase flower's from long distance, you seem to never get the one you ordered or anticipated your loved one to receive. I am soooo disappointed in your resulting arrangement!!!! I was so sad. Small flat plain plants. There was no height or layering. No color or embellishment at all. This was a Mothers Day gift and I was embarrassed to say that I paid extra money for it. I have seen better arrangements in mass produced plants at the grocery store for a quarter of the price. You should be ashamed to advertise a product that you are unwilling to produce. With much regret, Janene

I’ve had mixed results with this florist. It has to do with who is arranging the flowers. Midweek birthday flowers, absolutely beautiful. Holidays like Mother’s Day, not great. I think they don’t scale production up very well for busy seasons. Quality control is needed.

The Arrangement was wonderful top-notch all the way but I didn't like was I asked for the flowers to be delivered after 2 p.m. they got delivered around 11 and the problem with that is my mother wasn't home until after 2 so about 12 I get a text message telling me that the flowers have been delivered you need to bring them in because of the weather well there's nobody there to bring them in 2 hours away so I called him and the guys at all what we just had to get it done earlier me decide to take it over well that's not what I asked you to do I asked you to take it after 2 and you guys didn't so great flower lousy delivery I'm surprised you made it to the right house but I will use again this is the only game in town

The arrangement pictured has billy buttons, dahlias, wax flower, queen's lace, and coffee bean stems. The arrangement I picked up did not have any of those included, and the color scheme was entirely different. Instead of deep reds, the arrangement I picked up had pink roses and yellow tulips - so the mood was quite different. It was still a beautiful arrangement, but I would recommend any purchaser to clarify the colors and stems they would like. The florist upgraded my vessel to a ceramic vase, which I appreciated.

Very disappointing. They priced the arrangement incorrectly on their site. I paid for a deluxe and was notified they had in fact priced it incorrectly and if I wanted the deluxe or other version I would have to call and pay the difference over the phone. I received 3 emails saying it was delivered then another saying that was another glitch in their system and nothing was delivered, and they were waiting to see if I wanted to upgrade and pay the difference. I said no, just cancel. Shortly after, I received a group text with myself and the recipient and the florist saying the flowers were in fact delivered after I said to cancel. Very awkward to explain what happened to my friend. I asked her for a photo of the arrangement and it looks nothing like the photo and it was not very well put together,

Very disappointed. Ordered this arrangement for mother's day. Within 24 hours I got a response saying that the florist needed to change out the vase. I was okay with it as long as peonies were in the arrangement (wife's favorite and main reason for ordering). They confirmed in email that they would. When it arrived, no peonies were a part of the arrangement. I emailed and received a call back saying they were sorry for the mistake and that a new arrangement would be sent 4 days. 4 days later no arrangement. I emailed again asking for a refund and received an email that peonies were not available but they were awaiting a new delivery. It is now 11 days without an arrangement or refund. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend. I've attempted several times for the florist to make it right but have not received an appropriate response.

They were gorgeous the first day, but the second some of the flowers on the flowering branch were dying and falling off! I am familiar with hydrangeas and it was wilting second day also! I also assumed for what I paid for this arrangement the back would have a few flowers too not just greenery! I usually use Suzanne’s Florist In Upland, but loved this arrangement! I even paid the high $25 delivery fee! It was gorgeous the first day and smelled Devine!

Every year, I order flowers to be delivered to St. Lucy's HS for my daughter's birthday from Glendora Florist. They always accomodate the "no glass" and other special delivery requests.
This year, school was shut down due to COVID and I contacted Glendora florist to see if they can deliver to our house instead of the school. They made a beautiful arrangement and sent it to our home. My daughter was so happy she got her birthday flowers.

Arrangement was missing the cheerful yellow bow as pictured with the Sunflowers which was disappointing and a dark green hand tied ribbon, instead. I sent the arrangement to my sister who had recent surgery and she loved the choice! For myself, the bright pretty yellow bow would have been a bit more cheerful in appearance! I did place a call to the florist (Carlos) and expressed my slight disappointment that it was absent. He was attentive and professional throughout the conversation. Bow set aside, the arrangement was very nice! I would not hesitate to purchase from this florist again.

The flowers were pretty but the vase was completely different and I asked for them to be delivered after 12:30 so that the recipient would be there to receive them. They were delivered over an hour early. I could have purchased flowers and left them for the recipient instead and paid a lot less. I ordered this specifically for the teapot design. I got an email three days before saying “there would be some substitution” without any details. I emailed the florist directly to get the details and only got an automated response that they were busy in Costa Rica and would get back to me. They never got back to me and of course when the flowers come, there was no teapot. I would have canceled my order and got something else had I known. The arrangement they sent was very nice, but not what I wanted.

I ordered flowers for my mom for her birthday and I DID NOT get what I expected. I chose the dreaming of Autumn arrangement because it had lilies (my moms favorite) sunflowers and eucalyptus (my favorite) and be both HATE roses and the arrangement pictured didn’t come roses so I chose it! What my mom received was ALOT of peach roses and no lilies, sunflowers or eucalyptus! I am very upset with what she received. She received NOTHING that she likes! I depended on this florist because I can’t be there to chose it myself since I don’t live close. If you can’t provide what’s in the photo, don’t offer it!

Although a satisfactory arrangement, it looked nothing like what was represented. I selected the arrangement based on the sunflowers, the container shape and the profile. Today was my wife’s birthday so I thought I would send her some flower to work. I ordered the flower via the web early in the morning. Around 2pm or so I heard nothing from wife about receiving them. So I thought I better call and check on a time frame when the flowers would be delivered. I phoned in and spoke with Carlos who informed me the flowers would go out on the next truck around 3 to 3:30 and would be delivered. I explained to Carlos that my wife leaves work around 3:30 and she would not be there to receive them. Carlos went above and beyond by making sure my wife received her birthday flowers before she left. He delivered them and personally and even called me to let me know. Wow! Fantastic customer service. I was So excited to have this bouquet delivered to my mom for mother’s day. I paid to upgrade for the delux bouquet, however that is not what was delivered. My mom received hand delivery of a bouquet that looks like the regular non upgraded relatively small bouquet. Hours later she opened her front door and there was another small bouquet left outside even though she was home all day. As it was hot outside, most of the flowers in the small bouquet were already wilted and dying. I am disappointed tthat i paid almost $80 for a delux bouquet, but received 2 small ones, one of which was just left upitside to die.

i live in SF and my mom is in Glendora. i searched for some local spots near her and found this place. i saw they had good reviews, and they were spot on! Glendora Florists provided excellent service. they were so accommodating when i had to reschedule the delivery. on top of this, the floral arrangement was beautiful. i purchased the “fresh garden picks.” the arrangement will vary from the picture on their site, which they do state. neither my mom or i were disappointed. the flowers were absolutely stunning. support this local business!

Called the shop to report and they were very defensive and did not accept responsibility for delivery of FRESH flowers. They said it was fresh when it left the shop and there was nothing they can do. In all honesty I have ordered from this florist before and I was completely satisfied, but this time that wasn’t the case unfortunately. I got these flowers for my cousins birthday and when she sent me a photo of the flowers I couldn’t have been more disappointed. The quality of the arrangement was really nice - much like the picture - about 90% like the photo. My only gripe is that I ordered it on line and never got a confirmation email about the order. I did screenshot the confirmation number and called them a day before to confirm the order. They said they got it and that I would get an email when it was delivered. I never got a email about the delivery either. My recommendation is that, for online orders, they have the website automatically issue an email confirmation and later follow up with a delivery receipt. Otherwise, I was happy with the arrangement. They had far better options than other florists I looked at.

Sadly, the flowers were delivered a day late, because the florist was unable to locate the house. They stated that I had given them the incorrect address. On the same email stating they were supplied with a wrong address was the original order... with the correct address. They always had the correct address.

The arrangement that was delivered was much prettier than the picture! It was a nice surprise because usually it's the other way around. It's always hard to tell; especially when you're ordering by photos. I placed the order the evening before and it was delivered the next morning. Just an aside - I use a local florist and they send me a picture of the arrangement before it is delivered. Might be a nice option, so that I know what the arrangement actually looked like in comparison to the picture on the web.
