Getting your wedding as perfect as possible sometimes means following the trends for the season—though, of course, following your own heart and tastes is even better. Luckily, this Fall’s trending colors for weddings run the gamut from dramatic to demure so brides, florists and wedding designers have a lot to choose from. Others take care of the colors of the invitations, the brides and bridesmaid dresses, the table decorations. Here, we’re simply concerned about the flowers, so we’ve included a few that best match the colors that are trending seasonally for weddings this year.
Pink Blush and Dark Grey
Roses come in an amazing variety of pinks, but your other choices might include peonies, tulips, lilies and orchids, among others. Grey flowers are a little more difficult to find; your local florist can help there, even with information on dying the flowers to match your theme.
Layered Neutral Tones
For all the wonderful colors in nature, neutral-toned flowers abound. These can be, again, roses in pale colors, peach or bronze tinted hydrangeas, or carnations. For that creamy white layer, dahlias, tulips, carnations and, of course, roses of many colors and varieties.
Mint Green and Lilac
Green carnations, tulips and lilies head up this list, though you might want to go for something a little different and include succulents in your wedding flower plans. They may add a wonderful hint of a green surprise. Lilacs may your first choice for the lilac color, but roses, hydrangea, carnations, purple alstroemeria or anemones shouldn’t be far behind.
Tangerine Red and Hot Pink
Roses, roses, roses cover both colors, but cast your eye on the red amaryllis or Cancun pom pom red for a bit of variety. Orchids, lilies and other tropical flowers often have the deep, vibrant colors that a tangerine and hot pink wedding requires; your local florist probably stocks all of these.
